C syntax can be arcane and confusing at times. I recommend using [cdecl](https://cdecl.org/) to [decode](https://cdecl.org/?q=void+%28*foo%29%28%29%3B) declarations like that. (more) |

If your input .pdf files are considerably smaller than all your output .pdf files, you can optionally use `stat` to reject the commit based on file size. That would let you handle cases where you tried to commit the .pdf but not the corresponding .tex. (more) |
