In javascript is there really a good reason to never check for boolean true || false such as if(var){}else{}? I am fairly certain this isn't a duplicate so please bear with me. I check for boolean true||false using if() as a matter of course in my programming. I believe that would be a much more useful approach than the more hostile attitude adopted on SE (SO is particularly poor of attitude).

I believe my point is more about statistics and while I wholeheartedly agree that there ARE bad questions, I wholeheartedly disagree that bad questions lead to bad answers.

Definitely also agree.
There is a really interesting blog post from... 12-15 years ago related to the Stackexchange sites from Jeff Atwood (one of the founders).
