I've gained responsibility for some services at work that run on Node.js. I am wondering if anyone could recommend a book on Node. The website documentation is pretty good but I like the structure and organization of a book when picking up a new language/framework.

Should asking about book recommendations directly connected to software development be on-topic?

The meta discussion provides no answers to the question of whether this is on or off topic and I'm not sure what message you want me to take from it.

Reading the policy https://software.codidact.com/help/on-topic books are neither included explicitly in On-topic or Off-topic as examples. I would argue that books might fit into "Software documentation" or, considering books a technology in and of themselves, "Software development tools."

I apologise for causing confusion. My intention was not to say that this question is on or off topic.

Since the Meta discussion has not reached a clear consensus, it seemed relevant to link it from this question, so anyone with an opinion can help to form consensus one way or other.

Ah. Got it. That makes sense! Yes, hopefully we can come to a consensus. I would really like a place to discuss technical books and would hope that this could be one of those places.
