Tag picking when asking a question is broken

I try to post a question and want to use the tag C. So I type C below tags. An annoying list pops up and will not autocomplete unless I type more letters. It literally forces me to scroll down the list of every existing tag on the site or otherwise I can't post the question.
This is a recent bug, it didn't use to be like this.
