I need a full grid refresh, but setRowData is not a function [closed]

My sources say, after major data changes, particularly if the self-generated row Id (my own getRowId) change, I need to rebuild the grid (gridOptions.rowData), and then use gridOptions.api.setRowData().

However, trying to do that, the only what I get if a "setRowdata is not a function" message, and that was it.

My searches in the recent Ag Grid source show only some references of this method in various interfaces, but not even an implementation.

How to do a full grid re-display?

For example, what programming language are you using for this task? When you say "the grid", what grid are you talking about? When you say that you get a message, where does it appear? As written, it's very hard for anyone else to tell you anything useful. Nobody can see your code from here, nor watch your program run.

Karl Knechtel‭ Ag Grid is written in Typescript, which is compiled to Javascript. Thus, its core can be programmed in Javascript and Typescript. Beside that, it has bindings to Angular, Vue, ReactJs, too. In my specific case, I have used Javascript, however the problem itself is language-agnostic. More clearly, framework agnostic. Goal of the self-answered post is, anyone knowing Ag Grid, would know that, however it would spare the hours of debugging for him.
