**Note:** this is mostly a personal preference that I use when moderating the posts # Generally, no While "Hello" and "Thank you" are noise (overhead) for the questions and answers, they are also part of how we actually interact with each other as human beings. So, I would let them be. If the "thank you" part is particularly long, I would consider replacing it with something shorter.
