This response is about closure in general, not any specific question. (A moderator has already addressed the specific case.) The close notice also includes the following text (emphasis mine): > Users with the reopen privilege may vote to reopen this question **if it has been improved** or closed incorrectly. That might be too indirect; maybe the *author* should get more direct guidance to edit the question to address the close reason. Closure isn't necessarily permanent; the goal is to hold off on people trying to answer while the question is edited to fit better. (That's because editing a question to invalidate existing answers isn't good either.) Improving the platform is an ongoing task; I think we have a task already for author-specific guidance, but we haven't gotten to it yet. What can you do if your question is closed but the issue can be fixed? Edit. Or, if you don't understand what the issue is, you can ask here on the community's Meta category.
