  • My Android app needs to process lists that contain nullable elements.

  • * I am using Android Studio Flamingo | 2022.2.1 Patch 2 .
  • I have a failing test, but I cannot see the null values in my list. In the Debug window, I can see the variable that holds my list. The Debug window informs me the list has 4 elements, but when I expand it, it only shows me two. Above that expansion, it says"Not showing null elements".

  • I need to be able to see where the null values are, to determine why my test fails.
  • How can I make Android Studio show me those null values in my unit tests?

Android Studio "not showing null elements" in unit tests.
My Android app needs to process lists that contain nullable elements.
* I am using JUnit 4.13.2 for unit testing.
* I am using Android Studio Flamingo | 2022.2.1 Patch 2 .

I have a failing test, but I cannot see the null values in my list. In the Debug window, I can see the variable that holds my list. The Debug window informs me the list has 4 elements, but when I expand it, it only shows me two. Above that expansion, it says"Not showing null elements".

I need to be able to see where the null values are, to determine why my test fails.

How can I make Android Studio show me those null values in my unit tests?
