# Cite good Q&A elsewhere For example: I was saddened to realize that, as of me writing this, a question and/or answer from Software Development [has **never** been submitted on Hacker News](https://hn.algolia.com/?q=codidact.com). The domain has only been [cited once](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36897166), as a general submission of the site. But truthfully describing us as "General Q&A about programming, scripting, software design and architecture" doesn't give people a reason to look. The overall Codidact project [was well received](https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=29079117) on HN once, but it's largely been ignored otherwise. Reddit's [a ghost town](https://old.reddit.com/search?q=site%3Asoftware.codidact.com), too, even compared to [other](https://old.reddit.com/search?q=site%3Amath.codidact.com) Codidact network [sites](https://old.reddit.com/search?q=site%3Amusic.codidact.com). For a more scattershot approach, consider X/Mastodon/Bluesky etc., in circles where it would be appropriate. You can't persuade people who don't know you exist.
