How can I display an interactive family tree-style graph in PyQt6?

I'm trying to create an expandable/collapsible horizontal visualization of interlinked documents using a tree diagram that looks very similar this, where the documents spread outward from a single root and contain unqiue index numbers as well as possible descriptions which should be displayed below and inside the rectangular nodes, respectively.

This is the closest thing I've found to it in the PyQt documentation, but it has a vertical structure and doesn't meet my visualization requirements.

I'm not very familiar with Python libraries outside of PyQt6 and pathlib, but I understand there are several which can convert plain text data into fancy graphs and charts. If this is not possible just using Python and PyQt, I'd be open to using one of these as well and would appreciate being pointed to a starting point for what I'm trying to achieve.
