Can I execute commands before the build system is invoked at all in a flatpak-builder module?
I'm creating a flatpak-builder manifest wherein I want to do some "pre-processing" steps of the source code in a given module before the build system is invoked. In particular, I want to "merge" three codebases into one. I cannot simply use the dest directive as flatpak-builder's git handling gets confused when you merge repositories this way.
This was what I tried:

However, this does not work as when using build-commands with a build system, the commands get invoked between the "make" and the "make install" steps per the documentation, so the projects get merged after the build has happened. Looking at the documentation, I can't any sort of "pre build" command execution method. Is there any way to achieve this with flatpak-builder? I would rather avoid having to vendor these files in the actual source tree as I'm working with an existing codebase that I would prefer to modify as little as possible.
