Comment Post #288780 [Google Apps Script - call function deployed as API executable](https://stackoverflow.com/q/74705428/1595451). This question was posted in December, it has one answer having a 0 score which refers to a linked webpage that is no longer available. I just have posted an answer, including a link to this ...

Answer A: Problems with Google Apps Script API JavaScript "How to... Execute function"
TL;DR: Use the versioned deployment id instead of the script id. After repeating the procedures, step by step multiple times, I tried adding the `resource.devMode` property to the Apps Script REST API call and setting it to `true`. This call is in `index.js` file and refers to `gapi.client.scr...

Question Problems with Google Apps Script API JavaScript "How to... Execute function"
As this is the first question about Google Apps Script, here is a very brief description: it is a platform that helps people easily get programmatic access to Google apps data like Gmail messages, Google Drive files, etc. and also to certain elements that can't be accessed through one of the Google A...

Question Self answered questions about an unclear quickstart
I had problems following the directions of a Google Apps Script API quickstart. I think that the quickstart instructions and code is incomplete. After a while, I finally realized that there was misleading stuff. I'm keeping the details to be posted later, i.e., in a self-answered question, if somethi...

Comment Post #288698 Thanks for the suggestion. As the above answer is not intended to be used as a reference, I just mentioned that the "plain text" is intended to show markdown features. P.S. I also added a section of recently found related posts that might be helpful when writing / updating a post / help article a...

Answer A: Best practices for posting tabular data
I just found a post in Codidact Meta using showing a rendered table. Looking at the post content, it is using markdown. Playing a bit, I found that the following "plain text" (intended to show markdown features, not to make it readable, maintainable, etc.) ```none | | | | -|-|- PERSON 1 |...

Answer A: Should I delete my trivial, lack-of-research question?
I agree with the previous answers, don't delete a question that you find it looking trivial after you find the answer, instead answer it, and if it's possible, improve the question, i.e., by providing relevant details about the context that might explain why you skipped what you be sharing in the ans...

Question Best practices for posting tabular data
I am trying to find how tabular data is presented in Software Development. So far, I have found one question, How to pivot text?. The question presents tabular data using code blocks, dash to indicate a new row, pipe to indicate column separation and underscore to indicate an empty cell. I took the d...

Comment Post #278525 Ideally questions about spreadsheets should describe all the relevant details about the spreadsheet. In this case, it's missing the Country. It's relevant as it sets which separators are used for thousands, decimals and function parameters.

Answer A: Summing values formatted for a different locale
`LEFT` returns a text value, so it's working as expected. You might put the `LEFT` function inside `VALUE` function to convert the value returned by `LEFT` into a number. This applies to other spreadsheet apps like Google Sheets. NOTES: 1. Countries that use Euros as their local currency use...

Comment Post #278525 In countries that use Euros as currency, the dot is used as a thousand separator and the comma as a decimal separator.

Comment Post #286152 Rather than saying "someone should answer" we need to know if there are people committed to answering beginner-level questions. Are you committed to answering them? What beginner level questions are you willing to answer? Which of them you might consider too boring or not worth spending your time on ...

Comment Post #288576 I found the use of "levels" problematic. Instead, I think that we should ask people to use the proper terminology and underlying concepts required by what is being asked, in the programming / software development context. I.E. People asking and answering questions about complex spreadsheet formulas s...

Question Spreadsheets apps as end user development tool / spreadsheet formulas as a form of funtional programming
I have found Can we migrate office suite related questions to the Power Users community?, apparently, with a score of +7, 3 answers, but it looks like no decision have made so far. Despite not having taken a decision so far, that discussion makes me wonder if end-user development questions are on-...

Question Merge [functions] with [function]
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm new here and looking around. I suggest to "merge" `functions` with `function`. I don't know how exactly this should be done here. I think the word's singular form should be preferred for tag names. Both tags have usage guidance, and they are very simila...
