In some situations, could it be problematic to migrate a website's database (MySQL) from one website hosting provider to another without the information schema or with the information schema?

In my personal experience with either I never experienced any problem although I didn't do many such migrations (perhaps 4) and hence I still ask this question as a theoretical question, hoping to get an answer with a typical example relevant for each case and why.
