Closed Question Too Generic, Reason Unhelpful
The reason for closing the question as too generic was that it contained multiple questions, had many possible indistinguishable correct answers, or required extraordinarily long answers.
However, this reason does not provide any guidance on how to improve the question. If questions of this nature are not allowed on this site, it would be helpful if this was explicitly stated in the on-topic section. This would prevent individuals from wasting time on this site and prevent the frustration of having their questions closed for reasons that are not clearly defined.
It is important for this site to be transparent about what types of questions are acceptable in order to avoid the experience of having questions closed or downvoted simply because they are too complex or require more effort to answer. This type of behavior can result in a negative perception of the site, particularly if it is perceived as being similar to StackOverflow, where some users may downvote or close questions simply because they are not interested in answering them or do not want to put in the effort to provide a helpful response. Instead, they may prefer easy questions that they can use to farm reputation.

I will provide an answer to this question in the context of this, now deleted question which included this relevant text before being edited and removed:
How to implement a variable trust-based privileges system, so that there always the same number of users with the top trust level and an exponentially higher number on the lower levels? It would be similar to Discourse but with a fixed amount of users at the top so that the server admin only has to moderate those users to shape what he wants the website to be like.
IMO, the problem with this question is that it sounds more like a business requirement than a programming question. There is no need to provide code, but at least to dive into the considered solutions, some pseudocode or similar.
This corresponds to the first off-topic reason inside What type of questions can I ask here section:
Asking for implementations of a certain feature or a whole homework assignment. You should include your (partially working) attempts in the post

This response is about closure in general, not any specific question. (A moderator has already addressed the specific case.)
The close notice also includes the following text (emphasis mine):
Users with the reopen privilege may vote to reopen this question if it has been improved or closed incorrectly.
That might be too indirect; maybe the author should get more direct guidance to edit the question to address the close reason. Closure isn't necessarily permanent; the goal is to hold off on people trying to answer while the question is edited to fit better. (That's because editing a question to invalidate existing answers isn't good either.) Improving the platform is an ongoing task; I think we have a task already for author-specific guidance, but we haven't gotten to it yet.
What can you do if your question is closed but the issue can be fixed? Edit. Or, if you don't understand what the issue is, you can ask here on the community's Meta category.
